Some practitioners find their way to this work through study. Makayla found hers through lived experience. As a wife, mother of four, and the first certified Spinal Flow practitioner in Toowoomba, she brings both the training and the understanding of what it actually feels like to carry too much for too long. This work isn't just what she does - it's what she knows.

I'm Makayla - wife, mum of four, and the first certified Spinal Flow practitioner in Toowoomba.
I came to this work through my own body. A prolonged period of stress left me searching for something that actually addressed what was happening underneath, not just the symptoms sitting on top. Spinal Flow was that thing. I'm still a work in progress - but I know how to support a body that's been through a lot, because I've lived it.
What drives me is simple. The nervous system is the foundation of everything. When it's under constant load, nothing else works the way it should. I'm not interested in masking what's showing up - I want to find where it's coming from.
If you're ready to stop managing and start actually healing, I'd love to see you in the studio.

I studied at university and worked in early education when I left school and into my early twenties.
I have worked as a doula and childbirth educator.
I was a lobbyist and advocate for changes to maternity services in Australia and on more than one occasion, had some pretty funny run-ins with politicians!
I am a proudly sober woman.
I home-birthed (and water-birthed) 3 out of my 4 children.
I am one of those people who loves coriander.
Number 8 was my water polo number - my favourite team sport.
I was a founding Director of "My Midwives" the first private midwifery practice in Australia to have visiting access to a hospital and midwives who had Medicare item numbers.
One session can open the door. Consistent sessions walk you through it.
Your body has been accumulating stress for years - physical, chemical, and emotional. It doesn't release all of that in a single visit, and it was never meant to. Each session builds on the last, working through deeper layers, giving your nervous system the chance to genuinely shift rather than temporarily settle.
The more regularly you come in, the more responsive your body becomes. That's not a sales pitch — it's just how the work works.
We ask every client the same question at some point: are you willing to make space for your own healing, even when life makes that hard?
That's where it starts.
